Abbotsbury Glebe, Abbotsbury

We were careful to follow the vernacular style of this well known historic village, particularly as The Glebe is the introduction to Abbotsbury from the east. The development is a carefully integrated blend of 20 social and 8 private houses, surrounding an informal square which follows the existing road pattern of Abbotsbury. Thatched, slate and tiled cottages built  from stone were chosen to blend into the existing style of Abbotsbury making this a unique development.
This project was awarded a Civic Trust commendation in 1995.
