Now it’s Nathan who is best in the west

Site manager Nathan Pyett has won a top industry award for his work – and completed a remarkable triple success for C G Fry & Son.

Judges in the 2012 Pride In The Job competition run by the National House Building Council have voted him this year’s South West regional winner in the category for medium-sized building firms.

It means that the top regional award has now gone to C G Fry & Son site managers three years in a row.

Last year the South West winner in the same category was fellow Frys site boss Steve Carr. The year before the award was won by colleague Jason Hockey.

Nathan won the Pride In The Job award for his work at Balidon Place, Yeovil. He will now be one of eight finalists in that category in the national Pride In The Job awards in January.

He said: “I enjoy the whole process of overseeing a project through, from the very start to the end result.

“I’m hugely proud of this award, but it is also recognition for the efforts of all my team.”

C G Fry & Son construction director Kevin Murch said: “‘I am extremely pleased for Nathan and his team. The award sends out a clear message about the standards they are achieving.

“I am also delighted that this is the third year in a row we have won the regional award - each time on a different site with a different site manager. It says something about the determination of everyone at the company to produce the very best in quality.”

In the Pride In The Job Awards there was an additional success for Frys, with another of the company’s site managers, Steve Walker, receiving a Quality Award for his work at Poundbury.
