Southern England River Conservation Centre
The construction of the building was a traditional foundation with a beam and block floor over. The walls and roof were of timber construction with a “Kebony” timber cladding to the walls and a single ply membrane roof covering over. Both walls and ceilings were heavily insulated to help achieve a BREEAM rating of VERY GOOD. Part of the roof covering also had a “green roof”, this was made up from a wild seed mix to match that of the surrounding meadow
