Three 'Help To Buy' Purchasers Reserve New Homes At New Dorset Development Preview Weekend
The launch of the new ‘Grey’s Field’ development, Chickerell at a preview weekend held at Easter was a resounding success. The release of the first phase of 12 plots resulted in three homes being reserved by first time buyers using the ‘Help to Buy’ scheme.

The *‘Help to Buy’ Equity Loan scheme (*see Notes to Editor) helps first time buyers and those looking to move up the property ladder to purchase a new-build home. The government-backed initiative was set up to help new and existing home owners to purchase a property with as little as a 5% deposit.
In the first 23 months to 28 February 2015, nearly 50,000 were bought with the support of the Help to Buy equity loan scheme with the majority of sales To date the ‘Help to Buy’ scheme has helped around 50,000 people to buy a new home with the majority of sales to first-time buyers representing 82% of total sales.
