Homebuyers looking for a unique Cornish property have been welcomed to a new collection of two to four-bedroom homes by CG Fry & Son.
The housebuilder opened the doors to its new sales office at Nansledan in Newquay on 14th October and a flow of eager visitors looking to find out more about the unique new site has been received since then.
Nansledan is being built to reflect the local culture and identity, not just through its architecture and design but also through its place names. Nansledan itself is Cornish for ‘broad valley’ and every street, lane, square and quarter at the development will also have a Cornish name.
Placemaking is at the heart of Nansledan’s identity, along with the principle of putting people at the heart of the design process. The creation of Nansledan has evolved from engaging and communicating with local people, so that by design it will meet the needs of those living in it or adjacent to it.
Caroline Hill, Sales and Marketing Director for CG Fry & Son, said: “It is a real privilege to be involved in the development of Nansledan, which is set to become a very special place.
“We’ve had a mixture of people visiting our new sales office looking for more information, from first-time buyers looking to use Help to Buy to get onto the property ladder, from families looking to get a bit more house for their money, through to downsizers eager to discover more about what living in Nansledan will really be like.”
Nansledan is a 540-acre extension to the coastal town of Newquay on the north coast of Cornwall in South West England, being led by the Duchy of Cornwall.
Using local tradesmen and materials wherever possible, CG Fry & Son is proud to be building homes that complement the natural landscape and fit harmoniously with the overall masterplan concept of a traditional Cornish community.
This includes using local slate and granite quarried and worked from within an hour of the site.
To set the site apart, it is being built in eight phases, each with its own character, by the three consortium builders: CG Fry & Son, Morrish Builders and Wainhomes.
Business and retail opportunities are also included in the plans for Nansledan, as well as recreational and education facilities to accommodate new residents.
Caroline continued: “We’re delighted that we are now able to welcome people to our sales office where they can discover more about the homes available, some of which can even be moved into at the beginning of 2017.
“We’re very much looking forward to welcoming more visitors to the site over the coming months and helping people to discover their ideal new home.”
Prices at Nansledan start from £225,000 and there is a range of two, three and four-bedroom homes to choose from.
