A CG Fry & Son Site Manager has won the highest accolade in the building industry for his work in Poundbury for the second year in a row.
Stephen Walker, Site Manager at The North East Quadrant, Poundbury in Dorchester won the Supreme Award for Medium Builder at the NHBC Pride in the Job awards ceremony held on Friday 13th January.
The ceremony, held at Park Plaza in London, recognises the very best Site Managers in the industry, with only four in the country receiving a Supreme Award from an initial pool of around 16,000.
Stephen, from Sydling St Nicholas, said: “It’s an incredible honour to win the Supreme Award and I’m immensely proud, not just of myself but of the whole team at Poundbury whose hard work has made this possible.
“We have created something truly special at The North East Quadrant and we should all recognise this award as a testament to our hard work and dedication to quality housebuilding.”
The NHBC Pride in the Job Awards recognises the country’s best Site Managers and is the housebuilding industry’s most prestigious award programme. A Supreme Award is given to just one Site Manager in the UK from each of four categories - small builder, medium builder, large builder and multi-storey.
Kevin Murch, Construction Director for CG Fry & Son said: “We are so proud to have Site Managers like Steve working for CG Fry & Son, helping to give us our great reputation for quality housebuilding.
“Events like the awards ceremony last Friday give us the chance to celebrate Steve’s efforts, and we’d like to say thank you to him and his whole team for the sterling standard of work they have achieved.”
