CG FRY & Son once again recognised in prestigious industry awards

CG Fry & Son has recently celebrated five of its site managers winning an NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Award.

Whilst this in itself is a remarkable achievement, it brings the total of wins in these prestigious industry accolades to a staggering 43 awards in 14 years.

The regional housebuilder, with developments across the South West, has seen its site managers celebrated for their hard work and dedication to deliver homes of exceptional quality.  From an initial pool of 11,000, just 450 were chosen from across the UK.

With five site managers winning a Quality Award for their developments in Mere, Chagford, Newquay, Wellington and Poundbury, this year C G Fry has already seen more Pride in the Job wins than any other year.

However, the number of awards collected at both a regional and national level since CG Fry & Son’s first award in 2006, is testament to the continued commitment of the site managers and the entire teams that support them.

In total CG Fry & Son has won 14 Quality Awards, 13 Seals of Excellence, 10 Regional Awards, been runners up for the National Supreme Award twice and gone on to win the National Supreme Awards four times.

Speaking of the awards, Philip Fry, Managing Director of CG Fry & Son said, “We are so delighted to win five awards in one year, this really demonstrates the dedication of the site managers and the whole team that work with them to achieving some of the best quality in construction across the South West. My congratulations goes to them and all the team, to achieve such a highly recognised award within the construction industry is a fantastic achievement.”

The NHBC Pride in the Job is the most highly regarded competition in the housebuilding industry.

Winning site managers demonstrate incredible dedication, passion, commitment and leadership to produce homes of exceptional quality. They are judged on the following criteria, consistency in achieving the highest standards of workmanship, excellent leadership skills, attention to detail across all aspects of their job, from standard of workmanship to the welfare of staff.  They are also judged on interpretations of drawings and specifications, technical expertise and excellent health and safety controls in place.

This year’s five Quality Award winners will be put forward for a Seal of Excellence Award and a Regional Award in the Autumn.  This year, due to COVID restrictions, the awards will be held virtually.
