CG Fry & Son once again recognised in prestigious industry awards

Regional Housebuilder CG Fry & Son has once again seen its site managers recognised for excellence by the NHBC in its annual Pride in The Job Awards.

This renowned industry accolade, the Quality Award, has been won by five CG Fry & Son site managers for excellence and best practice.

In a remarkable testament to the dedication of not only its Site Managers, but all staff within the company and the excellent work being produced by the sub-contractors across all of the sites, this is the 14th consecutive year that CG Fry & Son has been recognised in the Pride in the Job Awards.

Andy Davey at Woodlands, Mere, Eddie Hughes at Bellacouch Meadow, Chagford, Brendan Leech at Nansledan, Newquay,  David Pillinger at Jurston Fields, Wellington and Steve Walker at The Northern Quadrant, Poundbury were selected  to receive the prestigious Quality Award.

2020 sees the CG Fry & Son site managers win the most Pride in the Job Awards in one year since the first award in 2006.  Since then, the team has won an astonishing 13 Quality Awards, 12 Seals of Excellence, 10 Regional Awards, twice runner up of the Supreme Awards and 4 National Supreme Awards.

Speaking of the achievement, Kevin Murch, CG Fry & Son Director said, “We are absolutely delighted to win five awards in one year.   We are thrilled that Brendan, Steve, Eddie, Andy, David have been recognised for their work on our developments across the South West.  Winning these awards is not just about the Site Manager, it’s about the whole site team and the whole support mechanism of all other departments.”

All site managers are automatically entered into the competition if they are working on a site registered for NHBC warranty and from an initial pool of 11,000, just 450 were chosen.

Winning site managers demonstrate incredible dedication, passion, commitment and leadership to produce homes of exceptional quality. They are judged on specific criteria which is consistent in achieving the highest standards, attention to detail in every aspect of their work, technical expertise on site, leadership skills, accurate interpretation of drawings and specifications and excellent Health & Safety.

Quality Award winners will go onto to the Regional Pride in the Job Awards events in the Autumn, which are being held virtually in accordance with current restrictions and are shortlisted for Seals of Excellence and Regional Awards in each category.
