One of Sturminster Newton’s youth teams has smart new football kits, thanks to support from CG Fry & Son.
The company, which is building new homes locally, donated new playing kits for the under 14s team.
Based at Barnetts Field in Sturminster Newton, the football club has eight youth teams and two men’s teams. It has long been a cornerstone of local sport, fostering teamwork, discipline, and community spirit among its players. The youth section continues to grow, attracting families from Sturminster Newton, Marnhull and surrounding villages.
Simon Goddard, coach of the under 14s team, said: “Financial support is vital at grassroots football level, and we can’t thank CG Fry & Son enough. It enables us to ensure our players are in the best kit possible and that costs are not passed on to players and their families.
“We pride ourselves on being a low-cost activity that allows both children and adults to socialise and exercise – but without the support of our sponsors, this wouldn’t be possible. The team love their new kit and look very professional on the pitch.”
Hannah Lee from CG Fry & Son said: “We are delighted to sponsor Sturminster Newton under 14s. I visited the team during a home match, and they were very friendly and skilful on the pitch. They’re a great team, and we’re proud to be supporting them.”
CG Fry & Son supports many community initiatives near its developments and is currently creating new homes at Durbeyfield Park in Marnhull. For more details, call 01258 313137 or click here. For information on Sturminster Newton under 14s visit www.snufc.com
