Housebuilder CG Fry & Son has seen the site manager at its Chagford development announced as a winner in the first round of the prestigious National House Building Council’s (NHBC) Pride in the Job Awards.
Eddie Hughes has been hand-picked for his work at the CG Fry & Son’s Bellacouch Meadow development in Chagford. The stunning development is a collection of three and four-bedroom houses in the historic and charming town on the edge of Dartmoor.
Recognised within the house building industry as the highest accolade a site manager can receive, the Pride in the Job Awards has seen the CG Fry & Son site manager selected from around 16,000 across the UK. The awards celebrate the exceptional contribution site managers make in creating homes of outstanding quality.
Eddie will now go on to compete for the Seal of Excellence and South West Regional Winner titles with other site managers across the South West. The winners will be announced in October.
The award represents success for the site manager and their team, and they are judged across a wide range of criteria.
This includes consistently achieving high standards of workmanship from all trades on site, demonstrating attention to detail in every aspect of the site, having the technical expertise to resolve any issues during the building process and maintaining excellent levels of morale and motivation within the team.
Kevin Murch, Construction Director for CG Fry & Son, commented: “We are delighted that this year our site manager, Eddie Hughes, has been recognised for his hard work at our Chagford development and has won his first NHBC award.
“We are also proud to announce that in total, four of our site managers from developments across the region have also won awards. Winning NHBC quality awards is a testament that as a company we are achieving our main aim to deliver quality homes for our purchasers.”
