We are once again celebrating the outstanding achievement of our Poundbury development Site Manager, Steve Walker, who was named as the Supreme Winner at the prestigious NHBC Pride in the Job Awards for 2020 at the virtual award ceremony held on 26th February 2021.
Steve was selected for his superb dedication and excellence in building homes of outstanding quality. The awards come after twelve months of rigorous judging and three previous stages.
A Pride in the Job Award is the highest industry accolade a site manager can receive, celebrating the exceptional contribution that site managers make to creating homes. The winners this year were selected from more than 16,000 individuals across the UK and are known as the Oscars of the House Building industry.
The meticulous judging process culminates in the finalists being judged on six key areas: consistency, attention to detail, leadership, interpretation of drawings and specifications, technical expertise and health and safety.
The awards play a pivotal role in the drive of the NHBC to give consumers confidence in the quality of new build homes.
Construction Director Kevin Murch commented: “Once again we are absolutely thrilled to see Steve win the 2020 Supreme Award in what is the NHBC’s 40-year Anniversary in the Pride in the Job competition, adding to his Supreme awards in 2015, 2016 and 2018, 2019 making this a hat trick which is a fantastic achievement!
“He is also an eight times winner of the Regional Awards, so this recognition is testament to his hard work and also the whole team at Poundbury.
“For CG Fry & Son, this is an endorsement of our commitment to build homes of the highest quality for our customers.”
Steve Walker said: “I am so proud to have been chosen again as a Supreme Award winner and to achieve a hat trick in the competition is a true reflection of the quality being delivered here at Poundbury. Everyone on the team at Poundbury, through hard work and commitment, contributes to the quality homes that we are delivering.”
