For an astonishing 14th consecutive year, regional Housebuilder CG Fry & Son is once again celebrating as three of its site managers won at the prestigious NHBC Pride in the Jobs Awards last week.
At a COVID-safe virtual ceremony Brendan Leech, site manager at Nansledan in Cornwall won a Seal of Excellence for the fourth year and Ed Hughes, site manager at Bellacouch Meadow, Chagford picked up his first Seal of Excellence. A Seal of Excellence is awarded to the top 130 site manager who won a Quality Award in the Regional Award ceremonies in June.
In a year that has seen CG Fry & Son win the most Pride in the Job Awards in one year since 2006, Steve Walker, site manager at Poundbury continued his remarkable success winning not only a Seal of Excellence, but for the seventh year running, also won the Regional Award for Medium Builder. Steve will now go on to compete for the ultimate title, Supreme Award Winner in this category.

Now in its 40th year, the NHBC Pride in the Job is the most highly regarded competition in the construction industry. Winning site managers are chosen from an initial pool of 11,000 and must demonstrate incredible dedication, passion, commitment and leadership to produce homes of exceptional quality.
They are judged on specific criteria which is consistent in achieving the highest standards, attention to detail in every aspect of their work, technical expertise on site, leadership skills, accurate interpretation of drawings and specifications and excellent Health & Safety.
