We are proud to welcome Joe Gray, an apprentice tiler and decorator to the team as our 200th employee. Joe will be supported and mentored by the Contracting team and attend Bridgwater & Taunton College for his NVQ Level 2 in Painting & Decorating.
As we continue to grow we recognise the shortage of skills in the industry and look to develop the next generation alongside our existing team. Taking on apprentices is a very key part in our growth and sustainability.
Philip Fry, Managing Director recalls. “In 1939 there were only 5 employees, under my Grandfather, Charlies George Fry. My father Eddy Fry then joined the company following his bricklaying apprenticeship and subsequently took over the business. The family company has grown from strength to strength over the years whilst still maintaining some of the traditional values from the early days.”
To mark the occasion Joe was presented with a gift card from Philip Fry on his induction day.
