A CG Fry & Son Ltd Site Manager has won his first regional award at the NHBC Pride in the Job Awards on Friday 8th September.
Brendan Leech, Site Manager at Nansledan in Cornwall, not only won a Seal of Excellence at this year’s awards but also went on to win the Regional Award for the Medium Builder category. Brendan will now go on to compete for the ultimate title of Supreme Award Winner in London in January.
The ceremony, held at Ashton Gate in Bristol, recognised the very best Site Managers in the industry all of whom must demonstrate incredible dedication, passion, commitment, and leadership to produce homes of exceptional quality.
They are judged on specific criteria which is consistent in achieving the highest standards, attention to detail in every aspect of their work, technical expertise on site, leadership skills, accurate interpretation of drawings and specifications and excellent Health & Safety.
Brendan Leech, said: "I started with CG Fry in January 2014, almost ten years ago, I have worked in site management for the past twenty-three years, and for almost forty years in this industry. To win a regional award means a great deal to me personally and is a credit to the team around me and especially CG Fry for all their support. These awards improve the quality in our industry and give our customers confidence they are buying the best quality homes. I didn’t expect to win this award, but to finally win the regional award was a career goal of mine, to be recognised like this is something the whole team can be proud of. None of this would have been possible with the backing from CG Fry."
Kevin Murch, Construction Director for CG Fry & Son Ltd couldn’t be prouder. He said: "To attend this year’s regional award ceremony with 4 Quality award winners was a fantastic achievement in itself, to win 2 Seal of Excellence awards was even more of an achievement but to win again the regional award for the 14th consecutive year makes me feel so proud of everything we do at CG Fry and of the great team we have within our company who are so passionate about providing the very best for our customers.
Well done to Brendan and all his site team at Nansledan, Newquay and I wish him all the very best in achieving the Supreme award in London in January."
