South Gillingham Strategic Site Allocation, Gillingham, Dorset

An exciting project for the North Dorset town of Gillingham with its excellent railway links to Exeter, Salisbury and London and only a short distance from the main east-west A303 trunk road. The site is allocated in the North Dorset Local Plan for a mixed-use development with supporting infrastructure and open space and C G Fry’s part of this site is the eastern parcel east of the Shaftesbury Road known as Park Farm. This provides for around 634 dwellings. Outline Planning Permission has now been granted (November 2021) and a detailed application for a first phase of around 300 dwellings is currently being considered by Dorset Council. A decision is anticipated in early 2025 with work starting on site some time in late 2025.
